Fort Campbell is home to the 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.
Fort Campbell is located between Clarksville and Hopkinsville, Tennessee. The parachute demonstration teams, “The Screaming Eagles” are based out of Fort Campbell and perform over 60 shows a year. The team has over 6,000 dives worth of skydiving experience between them. Fort Campbell has two child development centers who provide, full-time, hourly and before-and after-school programs for children through 6 years of age. The fees for child care are based on total family income. The co-op nursery offers individuals a chance to volunteer in exchange for free child care. The child and youth center provides 2 Saturdays and 1 Friday with every 16 hours of respite care per family. Fort Campbell offers three school systems which provide 5 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school. Bus transportation for students living on post is provided for students living more than one mile from their assigned school. If students live off-post, they must secure their own transportation.
Housing on Fort Campbell is available to all ranks in homes ranging from two to five bedrooms. Most homes come equipped with dishwasher and refrigerators, but washers and dryers are not provided. Personnel should check in with the Fort Campbell Family Housing team who will help determine what BAH rates are applicable for those military personnel wanting to live off post. On-post quarters are provided for any E1 rank or higher with dependents. Any applicable paperwork will be provided by the housing office. For more information, call 931-431-9003. Temporary Army Travel and Lodging provides temporary lodging for those needing interim living quarters while on a waiting list for on post housing. Most units have fully equipped kitchenettes. Reservations may be made 14 days in advance for active duty and retired military personnel.
